Almora

Also known as the cultural capital of kumaon, Almora is a captivating hill station situated on a 5 kilometer long ridge and is about 1653 meter above sea level. Reaching Almora is possible by all three modes of transport. Pantnagar airport is around 115kms from Almora and from there one can get direct taxis. By train one can reach Kathgodam station which is around 83kms away from almora and hire taxi thereafter. Almora is well connected by road too as NH87 runs through it and NH87e is connected with it and so travelling by road is not a hassle at all.
