Dehradun a recognized district of Uttarakhand is situated at the lower Himalayan ranges and is one of the oldest city of the state. It has got its name due to the relevant meaning of the place where dera refers to camping whereas dun signifies to valley. Robber's Cave (Guchhupani): This natural cave formation is a popular tourist spot located about 8 kilometers from Dehradun city. The cave features a stream of water flowing through its centre, making it an exciting place to explore.

Sahastradhara: Known for its sulphur-rich water springs and waterfalls, Sahastradhara is a beautiful site located around 14 kilometres from Dehradun. The name translates to "Thousandfold Spring" due to the numerous water springs in the area.

Rajaji National Park: Situated around 35 kilometres from Dehradun, Rajaji National Park is a Tiger Reserve and an excellent place for wildlife enthusiasts. How to reach Dehradun
