The small town of Kanatal lies near the more popular hill station of Mussoorie where most tourist flock to visit and hence the town is virtually untouched and hides exotic natural beauty which remained unexplored for many. Nearest airport being the Dehradun airport which is around 32 kms away and is well connected through road. By train either reach Rishikesh or Dehradun which are 75 and 85 km away from Kanatal. By road one can travel from all the major cities of Uttarakhand and can easily get bus and taxi rides.

Surkanda Devi- Surkanda devi  temple is on the way to kanatal if you are coming from Mussoorie- Dhanaulti route, which is only 10 km from the kanatal prime location. Surkanda devi temple is one of the attractions of kanatal as it is located in the highest point of kanatal.

New Tehri- New Tehri is hardly around 30 km from the kanatal, which has so many places or activities for you to serve like Boating, speed boating, ski ride in tehri lake or other recreational activities nearby. 

Resting goddess hill view point- The resting goddess hill view point is a popular tourist destination in the Kaudia Range. It is located about 40 kilometres away and offers a stunning hill view where you can see the mountains that, when viewed from a distance, resemble goddess reclining.

How to reach Kanatal

Kanatal is accessible through different routes and modes of transportation.

From Delhi, you can take a bus directly to Mussoorie, Dehradun, or Rishikesh, from which you can continue on to Kanatal. From Delhi to Kanatal, the distance is roughly 310 kilometres.

You can stop in Rishikesh or Dehradun by train, and then, using any local transportation, you can continue to Kanatal. The same is true while using flight service; you can get to Dehradun first then follow the route for Kanatal.
